- How to use claims and images effectively
Creativity is not a product of chance. Rather, it is like a muscle that needs to be trained to make it stronger and more flexible. In the context of advertising, this means developing fresh approaches and sometimes "thinking outside the box". A current example of this is the design of job advertisements, where the aim is to attract maximum attention while using minimal space. Creativity as the Key to Attention A classic job advertisement can easily get lost in the crowd: There is too much information, too little emotion and hardly any visual stimuli. But that doesn't have to be the case. Through the targeted use of imagery, a clever claim and modern technologies such as QR codes, a message can be packaged in such a way that it catches the eye and is remembered. Less is more: making room for the message A big problem with many job advertisements is the attention to detail. Every qualification, every task and every company detail is shown - often at the expense of clarity. A QR code that leads directly to a detailed job description could make room for the essentials: a strong headline, emotional imagery and a clear call to action. This not only takes the load off the layout, but also directs the viewer's focus in a targeted manner. Imagery: The Visual Anchor Pictures say more than a thousand words - and this is especially true in advertising. A well-chosen image can arouse emotions, stir curiosity and make the viewer think. Combined with a catchy slogan, this creates a visual unit that stays in the mind for a long time. It is important that the image is not only nice to look at, but also supports the message of the advertisement. The claim: Short, concise, memorable The claim is the heart of a job advertisement. It should be short but memorable and at the same time convey the core message. Examples of effective claims could be: “Become part of our team – your career starts here!” “Your talent, our success.” “More than just a job – a calling.” etc Conclusion: Finding the perfect balance A successful job advertisement combines creativity, strategy and technology. By cleverly combining imagery, slogans and the use of a QR code, companies can not only save space but also create real eye-catchers. The message remains clear: those who think outside the box create space for creativity – and for messages that stay in people’s minds.
- Image film of a special kind
We were invited by the Helimission Foundation in Trogen to shoot a very special image film. The foundation's pilots have to complete an annual check and prove their skills. This includes theory and practice. The foundation now operates on three continents and has been an important partner for aid missions in Madagascar, Indonesia and soon also in Brazil since 1971. For us as an advertising agency, it was a challenge to break the whole topic down to 90 seconds. We were impressed by the professionalism and skill of the pilots. Of course, there were also moments of shock for us inexperienced helicopter passengers. For example, when the autoration was practiced. This maneuver simulates the failure of the engine - the aircraft then quickly loses altitude and the pilot sets the main rotor so that it rotates more as it falls. Shortly before contact with the ground, the rotor blades are then set back to thrust, which leads to the gentlest possible landing. Anyone who would like to fly a helicopter is cordially invited to the Helimission promotional events. The dates can be found here. - Book cover «Beginning of a new era»
Designing a book cover is a creative and complex process that makes a decisive contribution to the attractiveness and sales success of a book. In this process, image research, image montage and image editing play a central role in creating a visually appealing and thematically appropriate cover. Image research: The first step in designing a book cover is image research. Here, the designer looks for images that both capture the mood of the book and pique the interest of potential readers. This search can be laborious as it involves a wide range of sources, including image archives, stock photo databases, and possibly commissioned photography or artwork. The goal is to find one or more images that convey just the right message and aesthetic. Image Montage: After selecting the images, the image montage phase begins. This step involves combining different images or image elements to create a new visual composition. This may include integrating landscape shots with character images, blending in abstract elements, or blending photographs with graphic designs. Image montage requires a high level of creative vision and technical skill, as the elements must be integrated seamlessly and convincingly to create a coherent overall image. Image editing: Once the assembly is complete, image editing follows. This phase involves fine-tuning colors, contrasts and brightness to optimize the visual appearance of the cover. Additionally, effects such as sharpening, blurring or retouching can be applied to perfectly match the image to the book theme and desired style. Image editing is crucial for the final quality of the cover, as it polishes and professionalizes the final product. Typography and final design: In addition to the image component, typography also plays an important role. The choice of font, font size and color for the title and author of the book must be both legible and aesthetically appropriate to the overall design. Finally, all elements are brought together to create a harmonious cover that is convincing both online and in bookstores. This detailed process creates a book cover that is not only visually impressive, but also accurately visualizes the essence of the book's content and encourages potential readers to buy.
- «Regional Metzg»
The corporate design of a company that produces sustainable and regional meat reflects a growing awareness of animal welfare and environmental protection. At a time when meat consumption is being critically questioned, especially in terms of the carbon footprint and ethical aspects, the company's visual branding must exude authenticity and a sense of responsibility. The logo plays a central role: It represents the structure of a piece of meat and combines this with a striking, easy-to-read font. This choice symbolizes transparency and highlights the quality and uniqueness of the product. The structure in the logo could refer to the texture and naturalness of the meat - or the abstract form of a map, which draws consumers' attention directly to the origin and type of production.
