We were invited by the Helimission Foundation in Trogen to shoot a very special image film. The foundation's pilots have to complete an annual check and prove their skills. This includes theory and practice. The foundation now operates on three continents and has been an important partner for aid missions in Madagascar, Indonesia and soon also in Brazil since 1971. For us as an advertising agency, it was a challenge to break the whole topic down to 90 seconds. We were impressed by the professionalism and skill of the pilots. Of course, there were also moments of shock for us inexperienced helicopter passengers. For example, when the autoration was practiced. This maneuver simulates the failure of the engine - the aircraft then quickly loses altitude and the pilot sets the main rotor so that it rotates more as it falls. Shortly before contact with the ground, the rotor blades are then set back to thrust, which leads to the gentlest possible landing.
Anyone who would like to fly a helicopter is cordially invited to the Helimission promotional events. The dates can be found here.
You can find further image films and short form contents on our website.
